Help with hatch lock

Help with hatch lock

I just came home with a '03 Pathy. I didn't check the lock in the back. Didn't even think about it. Anyway, when I use the lock and go to pull out the key, the whole mechanism comes out. What do I need to do to do fix that problem? Haaalp...
