Can somebody explain this to me in english... please

"While the pathfinder’s chassis and body is constructed of one unit, the xterra is constructed on a body-on-frame chassis."

What are the pros and cons...?

Where'd you get that from? Both X and Pathy are built on a ladder truck frame. Body on frame.

The way they refer to the pathy above, it almost sounds like they are saying its a unibody, like a Ridgeline or other van based SUV.

Its not.

the 96-04 model years were a unibody style.the body on frame trucks are generally better for towing and hauling. they are stronger and handle the abuse that come with. the unibody gives you a smoother ride and handle more like a car.
