Frontier Bumper on Pathfinder

Postby airborneranger » Tue Mar 09, 2010 10:27 am

Has anyone tried this? Does it fit? Same mounts?

I have also been kind curious about this, but specifically the Shrockworks Frontier bumper. Anyone know if it works for the Pathfinder without any modifications?

I'm thinking of just putting on the oem chrome bumper from the frontier.

It will work, the same mounting and countours of the body, so - no probs, but not so sure about Frontier chrome, because it's probably little bit longer, so you need to change whole bumper. Why do you need to do so, this is useless and expensive move, better buy ARB, Ironman, TJM or ASFIR :-)

The pathfinder has the same front bumper as the LE frontier.

The pathfinder and frontier has the seam front doors so the mirrors are the same.

I inquired about this a while back. Since the Frontier bumper is 2-piece, as opposed to our Pathfinder's one-piece, I was looking into getting the upper front facia piece to use with an aftermarket bumper, like the Shrockworks. This would prevent me from having to cut my OEM bumper in half, and would look a lot better once completed. Plus, the upper part was only a little over $100 at the time, unpainted I'm sure. When I asked a local dealership (I know I know), they seemed to think there were slight differences in the way they mounted up. This would save me from taking a 100% loss on the aftermarket bumper if I ever got rid of the truck, since I'd then be able to remove it, replace my bumper, and sell the parts.

This has crossed my mind before... I think you should go for it, but while your there grab the upper facia off the frontier and save yourself a couple bucks on a new one!
