2003 Pathfinder - rhythmic, faint "thumping", righ

Postby jgilmore8 » Mon Mar 29, 2010 8:03 am

Hey All,

Just joined, just became proud owner of a 2003 SE.

There is a faint, rhythmic "thumping" sound coming from the right front wheel. Only detectable at lower speeds, appears to coincide w/ the rotation of the wheel. Does not get more pronounced in 4WD, does not change when turning the wheel all the way to one side or the other. There is a slight shimmy to the steering wheel when braking, but nowhere near as pronounced as other vehicles that needed new rotors.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

JG

Fleurys,

Should've thought Occam's Razor off the bat...I'll check it!

Thanks,

JG
