Adjusting engine idle

Postby audioman » Sat Mar 20, 2010 8:00 am

Does anyone know where to get the Consult device? I would like to adjust some engine parameters and there is no other way to do it unless someone knows how to do it without the factory unit. I need it for a 2005 Path.

i do believe that some of the parameters can be adjusted, but after the scan tool is disconnected, any changes are returned to factory settings. i think only one of very few changes can be made at one time. prolly want the consult 2, not the consult 1. last i seen it was near 5 grand with the converter.

its pretty damn expensive for a consult2. The dealer can do it for cheap usually. It takes like 10min to do. Thats much better than buying a 5k scan tool. The idle speed and ign timing adv can be adjusted and saved, and will not change when the scan tool is disconnected. I have done a lot of them. We gotta charge you at the dealership because everyone needs to get paid! sorry!
