Jerking Feeling

Postby Budrbean » Mon May 10, 2010 3:16 pm

I have had my 07 Pathfinder for two weeks now and I have noticed that when I am at highway speeds......theres like a jerking feeling when I let off the gas and when I get back on the gas. Its just very quick. It doesnt feel like the trans is slipping or anything cause the RPM's stay consistent. Any ideas? Im thinking U-joint. If so, how hard are U-joints to replace on a 2wd? Are they press in or bolt in? Thanks for any info

if it is a U -joint you would feel and hear a clunking noise. I would suspect you feel normal rear axle play. If the jerking was at steady throttle while driving, I would suspect fuel and or ignition problems, bad fuel... do you have high mileage like 50,000 plus? if so maybe change the spark plugs, dirty air filter..

Its got 56K miles. Its definitely a driveline deal based on the feel, I can tell its coming from the rear somewhere. It just seems a little excessive and quite honestly more annoying than anything.
