Hmm, I really should do this, since I've got no back seats and use those tie down points to tie down my dog crate.

Thank you very much for this idea :D

Great hairy legs btw

Forget the hooks.... what's with the Hobart auto-chair wedged behind that nice Impala (is it?)!

That would be our mig welder and yes its my Dads 62 Impala convertable its been in the family since it was new. The welder isnt wedged under it because if it was i wouldnt be alive to tell about it! Very off topic but thats ok.

It looks like you didn't have to use the original, threaded hole for the factory tie-down. Is that true?

I had to secure my Z motor (530 lbs.) in the back of the Pathy and used the stock hooks. I was super surprised they held, but I still may do this "upgrade" for the hell of it. LOL, you're kicking ass and taking names on Pathy projects! I love it!! :D

Installed them! Works great. I feel much better about how my cargo would survive an accident. Thanks for posting this. Cheapest, most fuctional mod I've done yet.

I used the exact same hooks as you did, so it looks the same as the pics already posted. I only did the front 2 and back 2 and left the middle ones stock.

I also bought a big caribeaner (spelling?) and hooked it through the tie-down and the handle of my tool bag where all my towing hitch parts are. works great and I don't have to worry about getting a 13" crescent wrench in the back of the head in an accident. :D
