bad noise in front when turning

Postby snakerupa » Sat Jul 24, 2010 8:36 am

I am getting a very loud thud(clunk) from the front right when making a slow left turn. I mean SLOW. like when turning to prepare to back into my drive. Once I do start backing down driveway, hit the brakes, I get another 'thud'. I can feel it in the right front floorboard. I racked the vehicle at my work, (another import dealership), and found nothing askew with the front end suspension or brakes. Could not grease the steering stops because apparently they are in the rack. I have replaced the u-joints on the front shaft, and aligned truck. Any info, please reply.

Might be a CV axle, try checking those.
