Bumper

Postby xd9-g19 » Tue Aug 03, 2010 4:42 pm

Just put an order for this bumper, pretty similar minus the silver, it will be black, should see it in about 3 weeks due to them just getting ready to do a bunch for the nissans. Let me know what ya'll think.

Who makes it? Shrock, Kershaw and how much if u don't mind me asking. It looks good. I have been debating on pulling the trigger on an ARB and getting it painted to match the truck

Kennesaw Mountain Accessories(http://www.kenmtnac.com/WiFron2005.html) and it came out to 804.00 shipped. I was actually debating between this and the asfir, but they wanted about 1400.00 shipped for their bumper.

Real Nice! That or the Shrocks are my choices if ARB didn't come out with mine.

What did you go with for the radiator skid plates?

Does it restrict much airflow to the rad? I know with the diesels it might block the low sitting intercooler? Otherwise looks great

Do you trim the existing bumper at the split, or do you have to remove it completely and get the Fronty top section of the bumper?

looks almost the same as the ARB one, except for the front hitch.

what kinda material is it? how much weight? the pathfinder is pretty heavy from the front as is.

word of caution, had a fellow offroader with ARB, nosedive and the steel bumper bent the car sheet metal behind it. i've nosedived numerously, and only the plastic bumper gets damaged, but not the metal behind it.

try to keep a small gap from the bumper, as playroom just in case.

other than that, looks serious 8)

dieselfan-Not sure about that, if anything it should better now that there wont be anything hanging closer to the ground, and those frontiers who do have em haven't had any cooling issues.

madrock-well I was thinking about trimming it, but then thought someone may want to buy the whole bumper with the foglights on it due to the fogs will not work with the bumper, if I go that route than I would definately buy the frontier chin piece.

mar1-I remember talking to Kyle @kenmtn.com and him saying they use a couple different size metals, not sure on the weight hope its no more than 150lbs though. Thanks for the advice, will try to have about an 1/8-1/4 gap.

Congrats.

For a skid plate get NXROCKS. You will get it a lot soon then shrockworks.
