yes, just keep track of your mileage that way you know how far you've gone and not get stranded.

my ses is on and its a p0463 code. filled up the pf yesterday..gauge went to half. i started it this am and gauge is on full. will the ses light eventually go off by itself?

Call your dealer, give them the vin & find out if there is an open recall for the sender unit on your rig.

The VQ40 powered R51 does not have a serviceable fuel filter.

built with the fuel pump. Not serviceable, unless pump is replaced.

You can change the sender yourself. It's helpful to have a buddy, since the tank is long, but I completed the job with a few jacks. I just ran it down, so it was almost empty and it wasn't too bad. Courtesy has the kit, which is the sender and o-ring.

The sending unit is not too hard to replace. I did it by myself in less than 3 hours. I had never replaced a sending unit before. I simply followed the steps on the Pathfinder service manual that is located in one of this stickies in this forum. My only recommendation is to make sure the tank is nearly empty as this makes it much easier to maneuver. Of course this is difficult to do when the sending unit is not working...

I cant seem to find the stickies to replace sending unit
