Postby salty-fish » Thu Sep 09, 2010 5:48 am

Everything on my console works but my speedometer. Where do I begin to trouble shoot this?

the spedo in your pathy is faily simple. It's a cable that runs from the transmission to the back of your spedo. Where they connect there is a little nylon connecter that has a tendency of breaking. It is removable, and i have heard you can replace it(be carefull not to loose spring behind it). Me personally i just ordered the whole cable itself, took about 20min to replace.

Where it connects? Transfer case or Firewall end?

Replacing the cable?? Does it slip out of the sheath or do you replace the whole cable?

Just bought our 93' Pathfinder- guy we bought it from said he broke it when he was working on the front end. (?) Speedometer and odeometers broke.

Step 1. Take ur cluster off
Step 2. Find the speedomoter cable
Step 3. Pull the little white thang out.
Step 4. Check to see if its broken.

If its broken use super glue to fix the crack or find another one at a junkyard. Hope that helps.
