oil pressure sender

hi all

i got the sender from courtesy nissan and i'm ready to install it. is there anything i need to know before installing? do i have to drain the oil? disconnect battery? how tight should i put it in?

let me know if anyone needs pictures for future reference.

It is very easy. You dont have to disconnect the battery. Unplug it, unscrew it, put in the new one. There is enough room to get to it that there arent any special instructions.
I dont know how tight to tighten it though. I tightened mine til I was comfortable with it not leaking or getting loose.

another question...will the ses light turn-on on a failed oil pressure sender? reason im asking is because the gauge has been pegged for a week now with no ses light until this morning. i havent had the chance to read the code yet.
