pathfinder is done

Postby macbell7 » Wed Oct 20, 2010 5:33 am

well to make things short, I was in a pretty bad accident in my Pathfinder. I fell asleep at the wheel and ran off the road down an embankment. (just like Junior Seau just did) As far as holding up to the hill, this thing took a beating and I wasn't hurt one bit. I some how ran through an out building behind a house and don't even remember the airbag coming out. The whole front end was demolished and the frame was twisted, so needless to say it is a total loss. I've enjoyed learning about this suv and driving it but I won't be buying another one. No complaints or negative things to say about it, just next vehicle I get will be a diesel truck, good luck to you guys and thanks for any advice or help I may have gotten from this forum.

Good to hear the Pathy protected you from injury. Any pics of the Pathy post accident?

Sorry to hear that, but also glad that you walked away from that without injuries. Nice to see the front end crumpled as designed. Best of luck with the new truck.

This is not that bad. This thing will be sold on the insurance auctions as salvage vehicle, repaired by some collision shop and back in the roads in no time. Save the VIN and look it up using Carfax in a year or so. You will see it registered again. Its not as bad as some other cars I've seen brought back to life. Heck, I've had a friend who bought an M3 that was welded from two different cars. Too bad he only found out after he bought it.

Was it a red one from Florida?

LOL. No I read the story on one of the other car forums I visit. It made the rounds on the Internet for a while
