Help me out

Postby DickBush » Sun Nov 07, 2010 7:06 pm

Alright so im pretty new to pathfinders but im looking to see what the max tire size is that you can fit on stock suspension. I looked around for a little bit and it seems like its around 265/75-16. Ive got a 2006 and im looking to put some nice size tires on. Also, is the front a torsion bar suspension? Because i wouldnt mind crankin it up an inch or so.

'preciate it bro. Im just gonna get some 265/75-16 Kumho MT's and if it rubs ill go from there i guess. Ive been split between those and BFG A/T's. I might need a few opinions.

Thats the size I have on my 05, Bridgestone Dueler REV02s. They actually do contact the mudflap, but I have checked it, and the only reason that little flap protrudes is because there have been big chunks of gravel behind it forever. Now its deformed. Its worse when in reverse, and only when I am at full lock on the steering. If I removed the mudflaps, or cut off the offending deformed piece, I would have no issue.

Great news! thats exactly what i wanted to hear. I'm looking at either Kumho MT KL71's and BFG AT KO's. I've seen a Pathfinder with BFG's on it and it looked 100% badass but Kumho MT's are a little cheaper and have more tread. I'm siding with the Kumho's right now but theyre on back order. Either way its an improvement from stock but i dont know which way to go.

I went fatter tire, I have the 275-65-17 and no problems. I like the extra 1/2 inch of tread width, and it is a little lrgr in diameter too.

I have a 2008 LE 5.6 with stock 265/60R-18's. Does anybody have an idea of how much bigger you can go using the stock setup? Thanks.

Never mind. I found the answer in another post. Looks like I can go to 265/65R-18's.
