TPMS - Incorrect readings

Postby pathology » Wed Nov 10, 2010 9:56 am

Hi, my 2008 SE has 4 tires manually inflated, cold, to 35 PSI. the display shows all 4 tires at 30 PSI, and the TPMS light is on, without blinking. Any ideas???

Thanks, Al.

after u inflate, drive around a bit to turn off the light.

u can see on the screen a red rectangle around the tyre which is not inflated enough.

and on a separate issue, try using a digital gauge, as ive gone thru 4 analog needle gauges that never give an accurate reading.

been using a bushranger digital that gives exact reading as the pathfinder

Thanks! I guess I should have suspected my analog pressure reader. I'll check out a digital.

OK, tried a new gauge, that didn't work. Took it to a tire shop, where they inflated to 35psi cold, and that didn't work also, all tires still read 31-32, and the TPMS light won't go off, even after driving 3 miles. Any more ideas?

on the screen, does it show which tyre is causing the issue?

its usually marked by a red rectangle around the tyre pressure. one bad sensor can cause this.
