AP Racing 4-Piston Big Brake Kits

Postby goblue90 » Wed May 02, 2007 10:22 pm

Hi everyone,

I own a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder LE but am new to the forum. I'm constantly looking to upgrade my Pathfinder and recently stumbled across this on Stillen's website:

http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?id=APBRKIT4P&c=BR

I just fired off a question to AP Racing, but thought I'd ask here as well: does anyone know if these brakes will work with the stock 17" LE wheels?

Thanks!
George

Since the rotors are only 13" I'll guess that they'll fit, but get confirmation from Stillen.

Thanks. I'm still waiting to hear back from AP Racing USA, but I'll also send Stillen an email.

Regards,
George

I heard back from Stillen. They sent me a template for the AP Racing brake kit for the Pathfinder. I'll post my findings...

Thought I'd revive this thread... has anyone upgraded their brakes with these or know of anyone who has? Based on the template, these brakes won't work with the 2005 stock LE wheels...

Just had these installed (I didn't like the yellow on black, so I sanded down the yellow script and painted it with silver G2 caliper paint):

How did these fit over the stock LE wheels? I am seriously considering these but from what I can see from testing the templates, they won't allow the stock wheels to fit without spacers...

The stock wheels didn't come close to clearing these brakes.

So what are these like then? Are they a simple straight swap?

I know this is an old thread so sorry.

The only mod I had to make was trimming the dust shield...

I know they are an upgrade, but 1700 USD for brake calipers/pads/rotors. That's crazy.
