2006 Pathfinder Oil Pressure Switch

Postby tankhilld31 » Mon Jan 24, 2011 10:39 am

Would anyone know where the Oil Pressure Switch is located on a 2006 Nissn pathfinder? Needle on gauge is maxxed out and oil light does not turn on with engine.
Thank You.

I don't know but I know how to find out! You can access the factory service manual through the "2005+ (R51)" board. The owners manual is also on there if you don't have one.

I just had this happen to me, I replaced the oil pressure sensor this weekend - all fixed, quite simple.

What are the symptoms? I am suddenly getting a lower reading than normal, and at idle it goes below the minimum. Today I even saw the oil warning light come on.

The engine isn't making any bad noises or acting funny, so I am assuming its the sending unit.

Anyone disagree?

my only symptom was the oil gauge was maxed out while running, with the key on and the engine NOT running it showed the pressure at the middle of the gauge, hard to say if it's reading low
