Gauge cluster problem... please help

Postby SixSeven » Fri Apr 08, 2011 4:53 pm

I've got a 98' Path with some gauge issues,

At first only the rpm gauge was stuck off and on at 2 grand, this fixed it's self for a while. Then the fuel and temp gauges where showing high temp and full tank all the time, and last but not least the speedometer went out. So now I have a gauge panel that has a full tank, speedometer at zero, RMP's at 2 grand, and temp at hot.... all the time.

Randomly some of the gauges will start to work again, but only for a short time. Sometimes hitting bumps will spark them to life, but again only for a short time.

I dug around and inspected the back of the cluster and everything looks alright (in my amateur opinion), but I was unable to reach the rest of the wires that were further back.

Any suggestions or theories are much appreciated, pictures would help too if you have them.

Thanks!
