2008 Path adding foglights

Postby uwteacher » Sat Apr 09, 2011 3:39 pm

Just got a 2008 Path S model. would like to add fogs. I have found ebay stuff but would like to go oem if possible - at least for the switching. (stalk). Question 1. Is the connect up behind the rt. side plug for the fog light opening?
Question 2. Are there oem kits that I just cannot find? Had no trouble adding fogs to my 2500 Ram - factory kit.
Question 3. Any of the foglight stuff from e-bay any better to install tahn any other?

Thanks in advance

left and right light asmb. Wiring pre-exists. Taped up with grey tape. And the replacement switch - just replace the old with the new, that comes from the same model with fogs....DONE!

There is no other end....The truck itself is prewired for fogs weither you got them or not on any trim level....plug in the switch and the lights and it'll work! Just swap out your original switch for the stitch that has fog light on it (from and SE/LE), and you're done!

Nuts, I was hoping I would find it in the center console or something and just add a toggle to it. Is it easy to find/replace the column switch?

nuts?!? no man, it's WAY nicer and cleaner. Just remove 2 or 3 screws in the lower cover, squeeze the clips on the old switch, remove and push the new one it. Super clean and easy. No wires, relays, fuses, nothing.

Tech, is that a common part? I'm searching, finding a bunch from Sentras and a few for the Frontier. I'm looking for the column switch, right?

A rock busted one of mine and I bought a replacement from this guy:

Seemed to be very good quality and was plug-n-play with the OEM. Seems a little brighter as the lens isn't frosted like the OEM.

I think this is where I bought my kit. It's been 3 years, so I'm not sure.

I do remember that the hardest part was getting the plastic blanks out. The installation of the lights and turn stalk were easy.

Auto Lights

I just bought 08 4X4 S and was going to add fog lights but was wondering if I could also add the auto lights feature as well?

that kit comes with everything you need except tools and some mechanical knowledge. It was simple. the wiring is already in the area of the fogs. All you need to do it get some moving room around in the bumper so you can install the fogs. If i remember right had to do some cutting to get the piece out of the fog light holes but not much. Dremel did it nicely.

Good luck! and fogs do def make a difference.
