SPARK PLUG PART #

Postby SPICOLI » Sat Apr 23, 2011 10:01 pm

1st: I tried searching, but gave up after 20 mins.

2nd: What kind of spark plugs did you guys use as replacement for the OEM?
Part #'s would be appreciated.

Thanks very much

plfr5a-11 NGK - i wouldn't use anything else
4a hotter
6a cooler

Check the gap if you like, but don't try to regap. 0.043"

Opinions vary, but i'd say remove the intake - not disassemble the coil and use swivels/extensions...

also never-seize the threads (lightly)

Good luck!
Hows the riding?!

TECH, AS ALWAYS - THANK YOU !

Is there an advantage/disadvantage to having colder vs. hotter plugs. What would you recommend that I use?

Riding season is ON ! I'm not loving the rain though, it's cold and miserable.

Sorry for the late reply, apparently the site has had some bandwidth issues...but as always, It's my pleasure!

I wouldn't bother with hotter or cooler. Just go for the regular.

Those are beautiful bikes. I find them to be quite comfortable and powerful. I like the aggressive flow of the bike.

I'm hoping to do a lot more riding this year. Last year I did a lot of travel for work and that left very little time for riding.

yeah, i'm the same. Sometimes I feel guilty....I think my mod time is about equal to my riding time so far with this bike!

Forget the plugs....ride now, drive the truck when it rains!...
