Rear Air shocks for a 2011 Pathfinder??

Postby marc515 » Wed Jun 08, 2011 3:21 pm

Are there air shocks that will fit and lift the rear end of a 2011 Pathfinder?

We have a small camper with a 3,800Lb loaded GVWR. When we hooked it up, the rear end of our Pathfinder dropped 1-1/2", and the front end went up 1/2".

Instead of a weight distribution hitch, I'm thinking since we will also have gear in the back of the Pathfinder, rear air shocks might do the trick.

Thank you

AirLift 1000. You'll find a whole ton of posts about these on here.

I've got a set sitting in my garage waiting to be installed.

I will be buying the airlift 1000 too. However the air bags are no substitute for a Weight distribution hitch (WDH). I would recommend both. You will have alot more control of your trailer with a WDH.

I don't think thats what the OP was asking for. Airlift is just an assist. I think he was referring to an actual bag replacement for the springs. I'm sure they exist, but nobody I know of has done this.

1. I was actually looking to see if there are any replacement shock absorbers like the Monroe Air Shocks.

2. Will the Airlift 1000/Air Bags void the warranty?

I've not seen air shocks that fit the pathfinder. Very happy with my airlift 1000 bags as well and pretty cheap. I don't see how the air bags would compromise any parts that would void a warranty claim. Maybe the springs?? Not a likely warranty repair anyway.
