what do you thing about these lights

I made this up using 2 7 inch long distance driving lights mounted on custom mounts through the grill openings, they were to have stabilizers on the top back onto the top of the grill, I wired a harness up and had it all ready for routing cables inside to switch - then though I didn't like the look. What do you think - ok or not.

I thought the scale was alright but it just didn't say great.
I might be swayed.
Hope the picture posts - first time

I prefer the stock look myself. If I were going to upgrade the stock lamps, I think I would replace the fogs with projectors like this, http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic.php?t=1568

Here is another option using similar style lights that you have, http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic.php?t=5901.

you need to grab the BBcode for the picture... not the url for the picture webpage. when you are on that picture, click the "share" drop down near the upper left corner of the image. from there, select the HTML/BBCode pull down, and select the BB code radio button.

copy the BBocde, paste it in you message... and you're done

I think they would look better on the bull bar between the top and bottom bar or get smaller lights and put them behind the grill. I just think those look big and out of place.

However to each his own.

I agree that they would look better in the bar.

That is what I thought after I mounted them - hence they only lasted about 15 minutes and were never wired in. The mounting on the bar takes 5inch or there about - these were 7 inch lights.

I will look for a set of 5 inch lamps that don't break the budget. Just looking for more long range lighting.

thanks for your comments it reinforces what I thought - it has been a good lesson in posting a photo.

I had the same Aries bar on my 06 and then another one briefly on my '10 and you are correct - 5" lights is the biggest you can fit on it. Hella 500 work great. Get some Hella 500FF for about $50 at Wallmart, do a HID retrofit (they use H3 bulbs) and you will have no long distance lighting issues. In fact you will be melting snow on the road in front of you comes winter!

What HID retrofit kit are you reffering to? Any HID kit, like DDM slimlines?

Can always do the lights behind the grill mod:
http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic.php?t=5713

I have 130watt h3's in the hellas now. Im going to do the hid conversion on them once i have time. either 5k to match my headlights or 3k(yellow) and tint the hellas with an yellow overlay.

I agree with some of the other postings, they just look too big. And I don't think they look terrible or even bad necessarily. Just big...and sort of made me think 'hmmm... somthing's not right".

I thought that - too big - lasted 15 minutes - just enough time to take the picture.

Is this a HID light bar? I have seen them listed - very expensive. Were there no women in the woods that day to garnish your picture. I was getting used to them.
