Nice work! Btw, what is that huge fan next to your transmission cooler? I see you have the V8 engine.... did the pathfinder come with that fan from the factory?

Looks good. I've had my eye on the 525's but I don't think they'll fit in that spot and I hate the idea of a bull bar. Do you get any vibration mounting them there?

Here is the template I used to modify the Simpson Strong Tie A33 carpentry bracket. I printed them out, taped them on, then got a marker pen and traced the template onto the bracket.

There is a slight vibration with the current setup but the only time I can notice it is when I am directly behind another vehicle. Friends suggested that I attach a piece of flat stock between the two mounting bolts. This would tie the two brackets together and (possibly) reduce any vibrations.

Yup, that is the factory fan, all stock there.

05patheyse: I installed my Hella's behind the grill & since I only wanted them on with the high beams, I ran my trigger wire to the high beam fuse.
Now they only come on with the high beams & no headache of routing wires inside & having a mis matched switch.

So I have been using them for awhile now and the small vibration that I first noticed has not been a problem.

I like the mounting location but not too impressed with the PIAA lights.

FindyourPath, the lights do not mount to any plastic parts on the bumper. The brackets I made sandwich the bumper between it and the metal bracket behind the bumper. I have not noticed any discoloration or cracking of the bumper.

Thanks for the feedback on the lights. I've been looking into some replacement lights for my brush guard as I have a broken lens that the replacement is as much as a new set of lights.

Yea I have some hella 500s on my brush guard, but thanks to the wife the lens on one is broken and glass is missing. Now I look retarded driving down the road. I've looked up replacement glass and they want as much for just the glass as they do for a new light. I'm just looking at what's out there to either upgrade to or buy the same set.
