Clutch interlock relay

Postby krapwxman » Wed Feb 20, 2008 5:04 pm

Does the '96 have one. I know previous years had one near the battery. Reason I ask is I'm having intermittent starter problems (and today it won't start at all). I do hear a click somewhere near the clutch pedal switch. Haven't yet checked for power at the starter as I was hoping it would simply be the relay.

There is a clutch interlock switch. It's right at the base of the arm mount. That is probably your problem. Shouldn't cost too much for a new one and can probably get it at the auto parts store for cheaper than a dealer.

Thanks for the reply. It ended up being the starter so I had it rebuilt. Starts like a charm (at least for now).

Good to hear. Keep on rolling.
