Save Your Pathy: Spend $75 to Save $4,500

Postby MrPathy » Thu Nov 10, 2011 7:01 am

Check out www.SavingXterras.com (same as Pathy)

Spend $75 to save $4,500.

The Radiators on '05 to '10 Pathfinders develop an internal crack injecting coolant into the transmission causing a $4,500 transmission failure.

A $75 (or less) transmission cooler will prevent the radiator from killing the transmission.

It happen to me this month, Nissan is no help.

That's good information to know. I know that Nissan has extended the warranty for the radiator to 84,000 miles (at least for some models including mine). It seems as if these radiators have some sort of timer that makes them crack just after the warranty expires.

I actually just bought a 07 Pathfinder yesterday and last night read about the issue and started to freak out. But.. I've read a post in this website about bypassing the radiator completely for no cost! I will be doing this ASAP tomorrow.

I did the bypass without adding another cooler (the US built pathy has 2, one in the rad and one out front).

I do enough towing, and have not had any issues. almost 200k km on the clock. (125k miles).

I'm not sure why an aftermarket oil cooler is being recommended by savingxterras.com when we already have one. I just wasted a lot of time and money :?
