hi, i recently bought a '95 pathfinder 2wd with 3.0 engine.it has no reverse.all other gears work fine.when reverse is selected the back up lights come on but there is no reverse at all,its like being in neutral.someone told me there is a solenoid inside tranny for reverse so i took oil pan off but i dont see a solenoid.there was no metal inside oil pan which makes me think it may be solenoid or something similar.can anyone give advice on locating and testing reverse solenoid?also asking advice on what else could cause this problem.maybe i need a new tranny?thanks in advance.
