Well, been a while :-/ got busy with life.

just hit 11,100 mi today on the way to work and over the last few weeks the pathy has been getting more and more engine vibs in the cab. to the point where sitting at a light my coffee is dancing in the cup. soo, looked up tsb's for the 2011 and found this:

This bulletin has been amended. Applied VIN and Date information for Frontier has been added & the PFP has been updated. No other changes have been made. Please discard any previous copies.

The front mount insulator is leaking or cracked resulting in engine vibration / noise.

Replace both front engine mounts, stoppers, and bolts with the ones from the Parts Information table below.

Refer to the applicable Electronic Service Manual for removal and installation instructions.

I have an appointment next friday to have Nissan take care of this :-) anyway, i am posting this so that everyone knows there is an issue with vibrations. the pathy has always shuttered when the a/c compressor kicked on and folks said it was normal. . .this is also supposed to fix that :-)

I always forget but is there a time/mileage limitation for TSB's?

a TSB is a bulletin to call something of technical importance to the attention of the dealership
a TSB is not a commitment to repair by Nissan (as in a recall or extended warranty), so there is (in a sense) no

I just hit over 450 miles last weekend and I already have that vibration when stopped at the light. :roll: Mine was built on 10/2011 :x It maybe not as bad as the OP but it's noticeable.

Another guy with a brand new Pathy is also complaining about the vibration: http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic.php?t=6785

Thanks for the info. The vibration in my 06 is almost unbearable. Now, to check my VIN and see what can be done.

No need to check your VIN if you have an 06. The TSB applies to all R51's prior to Jan. 19, 2011.

Okay, vibration I understand, but what exactly would the "noise" be in this case? I'm trying to narrow down a noise on mine, even though this will probably be a long shot. Everyone here is talking about the vibration only.

I'm experiencing a significant vibration throughout the whole vehicle while sitting at stop lights. Everything is vibrating from the dash to the third row seat belts. It's annoying :x

Having vibrations at 40+mph when I am giving it gas. If I am coasting at 40+ there is no vibrations.

2006 SE 4x4 bypass completed 2 years ago.

Recent work: Replaced second cat passenger side but don't think this could be causing it???????

Thinking it could be the mounts.

Anyone getting vibrations when up to speed?

I have no vibrations at idle. Little vibrations with AC running.

I will check back and explore the search function.

Sounds like bad u-joints and not the engine mounts. Bad u-joints will cause vibration at speed and not at idle.

I just changed all 4 u-joints on the front and rear driveshafts this week for the same problem. Rides like a Cadillac now. It shifts smoother, and I got a little better gas mileage!

This is how I change u-joints on my Jeep but the same concept applies to all driveshaft u-joints.

I don't have pictures or a write up, but it's fairly easy. MAKE SURE to mark each section and connecting flange of the u-joints. I started with the front shaft, removed the four nuts and bolts from the front flange, then moved to the rear of the front shaft and did the same on the rear flange. I removed the snap rings and pressed out the u-joints from the shaft assemblies. The rear is the same, with the exception that the front of the rear driveshaft doesn't have a connecting flange, but splines directly into the transmission. All you have to do on that part is just slide it out of where it splines in. When you have the old ones pressed out, you take the bearings off of the ends of the new U-joints, put the "plus" looking piece of the joint inside the yoke, and then press 2 bearings at a time from the outside of the yoke onto the "plus" section of the joint and install the snap rings. Repeat this process until you have two sections of driveshaft and install back on the truck as you took it out.
