lol....we had those at all of the gates at my previous job (9/11 security enhancements to the facility)...they come up crazy fast for how strong they are (saw the guards playing w/ then one night when i was there late).

nice to see they work.

Man, talk about a quick death. I saw something on the Discovery channel the other night that uses a web lattice that gets caught in wheels and stops any vehicle cold. Pretty interesting stuff.

Aren't these already in use essentially all over the UK? I have seen many vid's of retards trying to cheat the system rush into parking lots/garages/or wrong ways behind others and having their cars murderized by smaller versions of this.

I'd think of it as an awesome deterrent.

Even if they didn't run into it head on fully extended if it came up and at-least caught some of the under-carriage I'm sure it would render any vehicle in-operable. Snag that rear axle and tear it right off.
