Is anyone here using the plastic or lexan or whatever they are headlamp protector sheilds and do those seem to stand up to sand blasting and rock strikes fairly well. How about the film type. Thanks.
I have never seen any headlamp protectors other than the 3M film you stick on to prevent rock chips. They work well but aren't cheap. Then you have to replace them after a few years because of yellowing.
Thanks BM, I must have seen something about the acrylic headlamp covers on one of the other forums. Here's one from the Australian Nissan PF accessories list about halfway down, maybe one of the fellows on the forum using the Spanish built PF could tell us what the cost of these are in their home country;
There's a place near me called StickerCity, they put the clear film on my entire front end, hood, and rear bumper, since they are all paint. The stuff is a lifesaver, and has a lifetime guarantee against yellowing, cracking, or peeling......Now if I could just do the windshield...
I like and use the 3M heavy thick film stick on stuff. It does yellow over a few years, but you can just peel it off and stick some new on. A clear cover that goes over the headlight would be a much better thing. Just too bad people like to steal them.
