Backspacing help

Postby akley88 » Sun Mar 31, 2013 3:07 pm

I'm looking for some help here cause backspacing and offset dont make to much sense to me. Im looking to do the 4x4parts.com delux lift with the bilsteins. but i want to then put 285/75r16 mud terrain km2s on the pathy. but i wanted to get different wheels. im looking at getting Summit Racing® Series 375 Black Ultimate Eight Wheels. will the offset of these help with an rubbing on the inside of the wheel well when turning. sorry if this is a repeate topic.

the specs are 16x8
Backspacing (in):4.930 in.

Offset:+12.00mm

Those should be fine with a 2" lift and will probably remedy the inner rubbing issue, but wont go so far as yo rub on the front fender when turning.

I'm assuming you do not have a V8. Reason being is because I'm not sure the 16's would fit the brake caliper, and with a lower BS than OEM, you might risk the chance of crashing the caliper into the wheel, even if the wheel diameter clears.
