We wanted to save some coin and purchased a Garmin Nuvi 360 Navigation unit. We can download free voices, updated maps, and is very user friendly with Bluetooth, audio books, photo album (I know... silly), MP3 player, and gives accurate driving directions with restaurant, fuel station, lodging, entertainment, and much more look up, that we don't know how we got by without it. Worth the $300 we paid for it!!!

You could of gotten a Garmin 750 and installed it with the Nissan docking station. Check this out.

That is awesome, I have been looking at getting a new garmin, but wanted a way to integrate it. If this works for the Pathfinder I have a mothers day gift for the Mrs. Does anyone know if the connector is the same for ours?

I did a little research and it can be installed in our Pathfinders! the part number for the mount 999q5-ku001.

You can install the Garmin Nuvi 7XX series in the mount. No need to purchase the Nissan version with it's selected POI and safety lockouts. Unless you like to see the Nissan logo everytime it turns on.

enissanparts.com has it for $115

I wonder if my Magellan 4040 would fit into the mount

You could probably modify it, but the dock is just for the Garmin 7 series.

I just did this mod on my 07' Pathfinder SE. Got a nuvi 760 from Best Buy for $349 and the housing from Nissan of Rt 23, Butler, NJ for $110. I had to swap my mount and cable to maintain the traffic receiver, but this only took 30 minutes of work and a $3.00 12V/DC outlet extension and some duct tape (duct tape fixes everything).

Unfortunately, my camera was on the fritz so I don't have any pix, but it went essentially the same as posted on TheNewX. The dash looks much cleaner now.
