Blank switch

Postby NVRDONE » Thu Jul 11, 2013 7:08 am

On my 06 pathfinder le, there is a filler plug ( ? ) on the lower left of the dash where the pedal adjustment and mirror adjustment switches are.
How do I remove that plug so I can put a light switch in that hole ?

You can reach up from behind and pop it out. Just squeeze the tabs and it comes right out. I ended up using the blank and drilled a hole in it to mount my switch for aux lights. I figure it would be easy/cheap to replace the blank down the road and it fits nice and snug without a lot of modifying.

I did the same thing, although I completely removed that plastic piece of lower trim because I needed better access to the wiring.

Steve,

I know I bugged you years ago about an extra switch you had, do you buy chance still have it? I'm looking to rewire my aux lights.

Thanks for the info guys. I want to move the seat adjustment switch to the right and use a cargo light switch from a frontier for the driving lights.
So now I need to figure out how to remove the lower plastic panel.

I do still have it. I'll have to look and see what is printed on it as I can't remember. All I know is the LED color is the same as the one I posted above.
