Cooling System Overflow Bottle

Postby booradley » Sat Sep 28, 2013 10:37 am

This may be on this site somewhere, but I could not find it. Cleaning my engine bay the other day I noticed my opaque overflow bottle has a short plastic nipple on the top near the cap, it simply sticks out, without a hose attached. I have a 2012 and never took notice before. There were posts on other sites, mentioning putting a rubber cap on the nipple, or leaving it alone, some say they do not know if a hose was or is attached and fed down the side of the inner fender. What say you? Thanks

There's no hose, just the plastic nipple. It is a vent, so do not cap it off.

As stated above it's just a overflow hose. I did reroute mine so if it does have an overflow it will flow straight to the ground and not on the wiring it was laying on.
