Bad Compressor

Postby st_cletus » Sun Jun 08, 2014 5:33 am

I have a 93. I think the A/C compressor is toast. The compressor clutch comes on and off when the a/c is on, but its not blowing cold. Any ideas, or is it the compressor? Thanks!

Sounds more like a low charge / freon leak.... Does it cycle on and off pretty quick !?

You can't determine if the compressor is faulty until you put a set of high and low gauges on it and see what the readings are. There are a number of things that can cause the air not to blow cold.
