Purchased this truck certified in April. Yesterday my wife had it and after letting it sit an hour it wouldn't start. All the lights were flashing including head and taillights. It jumped with my xterra and has been fine today.
Is this a battery gone bad?
Sticker on the OEM says 84 month warranty, should it be good to go?
Pisses me off, I though certified would me a new truck with miles and a few farts in the seat.

This happens when either your battery clamps are dirty/loose, or your battery is on its last legs and drops below a certain voltage. I had this happen to me in a car wash in the middle of winter, the auto headlights stayed on too long. When I went to go start it, dash board lit up like a christmas tree and relays were clicking like crazy, basically until the battery was dead. Had to get a friend to come boost me.

watch that negative cable clamp at the battery post
they rarely tighten down on the post sufficiently
you can get a new cable clamp at Napa for a few bucks
might as well replace it now
charge & LOAD TEST the battery/replace if necessary (Costco batteries are inexpensive, efficient, and well warrantied

Thanks guys. It's at the dealer now. I would hate to have to drop another hundred bucks on this truck considering we got it 3 months ago. Hopefully they will hook me up.
As for the 84month warranty yes that is long, but it has it right on top I saw that an thought hot damn. I'll win this battle, waiting to hear back now.

Battery warranties are usually proprated in the later part of the warranty, for example on the costco batteries they have a 3 year free replacement, and then a prorated credit up to 84 months. so if you paid $100, and it failed at month 60, youd get $40 credit.

Dealer found nothing. They said it is all charging and reporting back normal. They also said it was indeed a 7 year battery. We shall see about this one. Going to try and recreate the issue tomorrow. I figure headlights on for 5-10 minutes considering my wife was in the truck for 30
