Chevy 6 lug wheels on 2wd 96 Pathfinder

Postby RCAR50 » Sun Jul 20, 2014 2:38 pm

So I've been looking for some used wheels for my Pathfinder. I have found a set of standard 6 lug chevy steel wagon wheel style wheels and a nice set of mag/aluminium off a 4x chevy truck.

I'm wondering if the chevy 6 lug will work on mine. Its a 2wd but I'm not sure that matters when using the chevy wheels.

Any info on this would be very helpful.

Thanks!

Also looking to get a bit more offset than the stock wheels because the 31s rub on the inner wall behind the strut right now at full lock.. most wheels will correct that I think as the stocks are set inward pretty good. Right?

1996 pathfinder stock:
Offset: -19mm
Backspacing: 3.700"
Bolt Pattern: 6-139.7
Rec. Tire Size:235/70-15
Weight: 19.0lbs.

6lug chevy and 6 lug toyota also show as 6-139.7

center bore size varies, chevy being larger so yes chevy rims will fit the bolt pattern, watch out for offset.

found with google, lots more info out there if you need details

Hey thanks. I've been searching and found pretty much what you said.
Now the next part of my question....
At the moment I'm running 31x10.50 on the stuck wheels, I just picked up a set of 15x8s that measure a half inch less from back mounting to inner rim edge.
That alone shouldpull the wheel outward just enough to remedy slight rub at full turn... Right? Will the 10.5 width being stretched over the extra inch of the 8" wheel also help correct the rubbing.
Also there is currently only an inch of space between the tire and the bottom spring seat of the front struts... Does this mean that I'm pretty much maxed out at the 31s? I am going to install the 2.5 spacer lift kit soon but I don't think this will help because that lifts the vehicle not the suspension components correct?
So what size tires are everyone running? What did you have to do to get them under it?
And of course pics rock! [/img]
