Factory Fog Light Kit

Hey Everyone,

I am planning on installing the factory fog light kit for my Pathfinder. The question is can I get the fog light kit with the auto headlights? And, if I can, is there any additional wiring and or fuses to install?

I think the turn signal/light stalk they show is incorrect. The ones with the fog lights have a ring in the middle that controls the fog lights.

FYI, I have the an 08 SE-OR, so it has fog lights and auto headlights. The fogs turn on and off with the auto headlights.

I was looking at this site below. I would like to have this feature installed on my Pathfinder. But, I just realized that I don't have the specific sensor for the auto headlight feature.

Greek you can get the entire factory kit that will work on the S/XE through Courtesyparts.com (wish I did) there are two different switch/stalks depending on your model. I tried to order from Enissanparts.com in December and never heard back then they were down for a while so I'm not sure if their fully functional. Throwing fogs on my XE was the first thing I did to my Path. I'd recommend throwing some yellow bulbs in there if you wanted to improve functionality.

Thanks for the advice. I originally bought a pair of fogs from from blinglights, but they are still sitting in the box. I figure, if I am going to put fogs, i want the look to be clean. So, the best way to do that would be to install the factory setup. I also like the idea of yellow bulbs for the fogs. Just wonder where I can find some like that.

I finally got around to getting the factory fog lights. Questions is, is this something that is a DIY, or should I get a qualified technician to install them, since it seems that the steering wheel needs to be removed to install the new dimmer switch.

I personally would get a technician to do it if the steering wheel needs to be removed. But how much would it cost to get one fix it, if its easy on the pockets then yeh definitely go with the technician..

I really want to do this install myself, but I am a little hesitant to start messing with the steering wheel especially since the airbag is there. Has anyone had to put a new dimmer switch on? Is it easy/hard?

The steering wheel does NOT need to be removed, there are I think 4 screws on the bottom of the cover, remove them screws and the cover goes in half, giving you access to the switch that needs to swapped.

how did the install turn out for you?? I am planning on doing the same thing. I was going with aftermarket, then when I was looking around noticed the factory foglight plugs, so figure I would spend a little more and do it right.

The installation was really easy. The first thing I did was install the new turn signal switch, which I did simply by removing the three screws that are below the steering wheel. Once I did that, the cover snapped off and I was able to just swap the switch. After I put that back together I jacked up the front end of the Path, and removed the wheels. I also removed the wheel well so I can get behind the fender. I could only jack up one end at a time because I only have the jack that came with the Pathfinder. Once you are able to get behind the fender, you need to remove the plastic caps. You want to be careful during this because there are two push pins at the top and on the inside of the cover that need to be removed. Once they are out the the fog can be snapped right into place. Just don't forget to plug it in before you screw everything back together.

If the Path fogs are H3 bulb compatible then these i would recommend. I have had these in my set of PIAA fogs. they work great. I am not sure if you need anything like a ballast since they are not HIDs. You could probably call and find out more information on them.

Hey Fofiddy, Just so you know I am now eNissanParts.com, I took them over from the previous owners, who could not get their act together.
But since I took over, we have had no issues at all...
