Leather shift knob replacement?

Postby psinsyd » Fri Jan 23, 2015 11:37 am

Hi all,

The leather shift knob is worn on my '09 SE and I've been scouring the internet for an OEM replacement.

All of the OEM parts sites I've seen do not have the actual knob itself listed as available for order.

Does anyone know if it's a dealer-only part?

Thanks guys. Once I can find one, I'll check out the repair manual for the replacement process as well.

I'd guess it's a dealer-only part
Probably no demand for aftermarket
Have you tried to find a used one from a salvage yard or eBay?

Thanks eieio. No luck on fleabay and haven't tried the ol' salvage yard route yet.

It looks like they list for about $152 new from Nissan and sell for about $113+shipping from online dealers.

Thanks smj999smj! I thought I completely scoured that site, but I guess not enough.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but my shift knob looks like the one in this pic. I'll do some digging on the part number in the drawing you supplied.

Thanks again!

Go to the NissanPartsZone.com site, enter your VIN #, search under "powertrain" and then select "transmission control device."
