I replaced my stock head unit with and aftermarket kenwood. I do not have a Bose system it looks like just 6 speakers although with the stock head unit it did have a lot of bass like maybe I had subs but I can't find any. My problem is the me head unit over heats and the sound breaks up and gets real staticky. It goes away if I turn it down for a while. My question is are my speaks stock 4 ohm or is it a special set up like the Bose system? I really only need hands free or an aux input. Was there another stock head unit that is plug and play that would give me an aux input so I don't have to buy converters for an aftermarket to perform as good or better than the stock.

Also when I put the kenwood in I lost all the bass that the stock unit had and when I change the settings in the kenwood to get some what of a rich full sound the sound goes to crap quicker
