My Bad, One More Question Re Front CV Shafts Removal

Postby justinevert » Tue Jan 12, 2016 9:49 pm

Need to replace CV shafts, noticed the bolting on one side but could not see them on the other side. Do they just pull out from the front hubs after the bolting is removed from the other end or is there some sort of retaining device that holds them in?

Ok, enough questions for the night, thanks!!

cv shafts will come out once you undo the axle nut and pop the balljoint out of the steering knuckle. You'll need a pry bar to get the axle to disengage from the differential.
