Silicone paste conditioner for door seals

Postby Gray » Mon Oct 20, 2008 9:03 pm

I haven't seen a comparable product from Nissan but Mercedes sells a type of silicone paste rubber / neoprene conditioner for door seals and other rubber products, although there are cheaper alternatives such as 3-M, Locktite, etc;

Just wondering if any are a using silicone paste conditioner type product on the PF seals or if some other product is better.

Is this a lubricant or adhesive?

It's a rubber / neoprene seal and hose conditioner so that those don't dry out. I haven't used the product yet but I think it would be applied with a cloth and should be antistatic so that it doesn't attract dust.

No, but I keep meaning to stop by one of the auto parts stores and pick up a can of spray silicone. Thanks for the reminder.
