Spare Tire Replacement

Postby jhg120 » Tue Nov 15, 2016 9:39 am

I have a 2011 Pathfinder S. Stock tires on vehicle. I got a flat yesterday, went to change it, and the spare tire was a 18" BFG, way too big. So, left vehicle, buddy drove me to shop, new tire, etc.

So, where do I find a 16" wheel? I found a place where I can buy an identical wheel, the 5 spoke stock wheel, but am wondering if that will fit in the spare tire area because of the center hole where the mount fits to secure it.

Thanks

Any 05-and-later Pathfinder/Xterra/Frontier wheel should the spare tire well under the truck. Places to get wheels, other than Nissan, include Rockauto.com and from a salvage yard (try www.Car-part.com) and Ebay.

It may be possible to use the 18" spare wheel. If you use a tire size calculator and take your stock size and match it up with a low profile 18" tire that is real close in overall diameter it should work fine. Look funny when driving but work fine.

So this would work? Then I can take out the center cap to install in spare tire carrier? Thx
