The 2" suspension drop is done!
It wasn't the easiest mod and I had to do a little research to find the right bolts. But definitely worth the effort!
I tracked the 2 different size bolts down at Fastenal, which I'll share here:
4 - M14-1.5 x 160mm DIN 960 Class 10.9 ( Grade 8 ) Plain Finish Hex Cap Screw. Fastenal Part No. (SKU): 11113295
2- M14-1.5 x 130mm DIN 960 Class 8.8 ( Grade 5 ) Plain Cap Screw Fastenal Part No. (SKU): MH2690130PF0000
NOTE: The 160mm bolts were a bit too long as the threads only come down about an inch. So I had to use 4 or 5 big washers to make it fit. In retrospect, the 130mm bolts would have been the right length for all of them.
I also bought the 3" longer stainless steel brake lines from 4x4 Parts.
And flushed out the old brown Dot3 brake fluid with some fresh Dot4 while I was there!
I definitely recommend this mod instead of doing the 2" spacer.
You get to keep full articulation (or as much as your RFS will allow) and that's a good thing!
