Pop in front end.

Postby cleandog » Fri Jan 22, 2016 11:15 pm

I own a 2013 Pathfiner with about 55,000 miles. Lately I have noticed when I go over bump or a shallow hole in road the front end pops once and I can feel it also in the steering. I have not hit anything and have mostly driven it on paved roads and not that many rough dirt roads. Do any of you have any ideas what could be causing the popping in the front end?

It doesn't make any noises when turning only when I run over a bump or when entering a driveway that may have a uneven entrance where it connects to the street.

Thank you for this service.

Joe

Any modifications to the wheels or suspension?

It could be the struts. I was helping a buddy installing the bed tool box and access tonneau cover on his truck when his brother came on his 2013 Pathfinder. It's been at the service center, the left strut has a crack and the entire assembly was moving around felt on the steering wheel.
