Front driver side power window motor and regulator...$600?

Postby Rick's 2013 Path » Fri Jun 22, 2018 9:40 am

Good afternoon all, the front driver side window motor is no longer working in my 2013 Pathfinder SV. I was able to tape the window in the closed position for a temporary fix. I brought it in to Goss' Garage and they told me that the motor and regulator both need to be replated...and that the parts were $600 and another $150 in labor. I called Nissan and they confirmed the price on the parts.

Does that seem excessive to anyone else? I had the same problem in my 2002 Pathfinder...I paid $20 for the motor...and I installed it myself in about 20mins. Are there any other places where they sell these parts for a more reasonable price or any other fixes that you know of?

Any help that you guys and gals can share with me would be a huge help!

Remember, that was 11 years ago. Auto parts have gone through the roof since then. I'm guessing that you can do better than the $600 but still expect the bill to be several hundreds.
