2017 Pathfinder: How to check CVT fluid level?

Postby grimblefritz » Fri Aug 23, 2019 10:08 am

2017 Pathfinder, 68K miles, new to me

Previous owner says he drained CVT fluid, estimated 1 gallon, put 4 quarts in, and THEN realized his "one gallon" container was only "1/2 gallon". So, the CVT is roughly 2 quarts over full. Seems to function ok; however, not usually a good thing to be over full.

I want to drain it again (even more new fluid can't hurt) but since I don't know exactly how much is in there now - I can't just replace the amount I drain.

Anyone here know how to check the CVT fluid level?
