interminten blower motor. Help.

Postby Scrambler man » Tue Oct 01, 2019 7:11 am

I'll try to be brief.
2002 Pathfinder with automatic AC and the blower works when it wants to.
I've replaced the resistor with new, that tests good. Checked for resistance at the sensors behind the grill, good there.
All speeds work when the motor decides to work, and that seems to happen when the temp is cooler, 50*ish but not cold ie sub freezing.
Where dio I look next?
Temps are falling here, need a solution soon.
Thanks,
Jerry

It's probably the blower motor, itself. When it won't work, try tapping on the blower motor housing and see if it starts working. If it does, replace it.

Update;
I had assumed the motor was good because when it worked, it worked just fine.
I gave it a tap last night and it started spinning.
Just goes to show, always check the obvious no matter how sure you are that it is not the problem.
