Does the R51 auto lock

Postby salob » Fri Apr 24, 2020 7:40 am

Hi,
I've noticed that once I've unlocked the car with the remote, after a few minutes the car locks itself. I'm not sure this has always done it so I'm kinda thinking I've hit the unlock or lock button a few too many times to enable it.

Can I deactivate this?

cheers

typically vehicles do that unless you open the drivers (or possibly any) door, the idea being if you accidently unlock the car it will just lock its self again but is yours doing it even after you've had the doors open?

On my 2010 SE the auto lock time adjustments are in the settings menu.

Hmm..i know my Xterra autolocks for sure which is also Nissan F platform.
I found out when I unlocked it going inside and came back out trying to continue unloading it.
I'd have to check my R51 when I get it back ( currently getting some rust removed)

Both my 2008 and 2011 does not auto lock when parked. However, they do auto lock once I'm driving and I get up to 10-15 mph.

Try this, might depend on the year. There should also be a setting to switch between the park position unlocking and key removal unlocking.
