Hi, just joined today.

Have a 05 SE for a couple of years now..

What I've done:

Spyder Halogen Headlights w/ Philips Extreme Vision
LED backup lights (Luyed 1550) - super bright and worth every penny
KOE144-1 brake package
New AC Delco Coils bought and will install as the weather agrees.
Bilsteins HD all around - too harsh a ride, maybe the 5100s on the front does it....
Yokohama Geolander 275/65/16

Looking at the XTP intake - seems like a sure thing..
Going to replace the AF sensors to see if my MPG improves - it has to be better than 500 km for 70L...it has to be...right?
Getting the ole P0420 P0430 codes - time to change the cats.

Alot of great information on this forum, and always searching for something to tinker around with on this truck. Not perfect, but perfect to tinker around on.

Oh, and...love this truck.

By my math, that's about 16.8 miles per gallon, which is right in the ballpark. My combined mileage is 17.5 miles per gallon. When I first got it, I was getting 16.5 MPG, but then I started to go a little easier on the throttle and use cruise control as much as possible and it got me another 1 mpg. It does best on long highway or interstate runs where there isn't any or much stop and go traffic. On those runs, I can do 75-85 MPH and average around 21.5 MPG. I also never saw any difference in gas mileage whether I used 87-octane, unleaded regular or 93-octane premium.

Thanks for the support!

Yeah I was following this Path (pun intended) viewtopic.php?p=35925&highlight=#35925
viewtopic.php?p=31532&highlight=#31532

I've squeezed lemons, placed it on cruise, and I'm lucky to get the 20 mpg (near 13L) and anything remote to 600 km on a tank (380 miles) would be the dream...

Imma gonna try some cheap swaps...but by far..I've noticed that tire pressure is the biggest gas saver on this truck (so far). Anything running near 33 psi really hogs it down in a huge way. Running at 37 saves like 15% comparitively.
Why winter probably destroys these trucks MPG when tire pressures drop due to the cold weather.

Been tracking my use on Fuelly since January, so it will be an interesting little test throughout the year as to what works or not!

Thank you all for your input!
