If yourve tried a new battery, its most likely either cables/connection or starter going out.

I have the same problem. 12.20v, tested all night, put on meter in the morning, still 12.20v, but when I go to start, mine drops to 8.8v and is very very sluggish to start. Mine is 2011. I've taken off all connections, cleaned up really nice, did not solve it. Batter is 1.5 years old.

If it's the starter, how do you go about diagnosing that??

Sorry to hijack, maybe we figure both out together.

Thanks

Sounds like its dropping before even starting the car? Or while cranking? Not sure what should be the voltage after key in ignition to start postition. Does it stay at 8.8 for over a minute? Maybe parasttic draw. Do you hear anything like fuel pump? Maybe try pulling fuses ?

I recently had a battery that went bad within 14 months or so.
No parasitic drag (checked via meter)

I think it may have been weak from Day 1 ..
